Acció Cultura Viva festival is an event promoted by the Barcelona City Council within the famous local festivities of La Mercè.

The festival is organized in a collective, assembly and open way. It is a project of cultural democracy that seeks complicity with projects of social economy. It promotes artistic processes that collectively strengthen us, dignify artistic work, and value open source culture, free circulation, and remixing.

Every year the submission opens to invite artists from all disciplines to participate. Acció Cultura Viva was created to promote the work of local and alternative artists who are normally outside the most commercial circuits.
