In keeping with its strategy of promoting a dialogue between contemporary art and heritage, Montjuïc Castle regularly hosts initiatives and interventions by different artists of Barcelona.
In collaboration with La Escocesa (one of the most famous creation centers in Barcelona) the Castle presents IMPASSE by Julia Calvo.

IMPASSE is a huge installation located in the central courtyard of the castle that invites the public to stroll through the vaulted space of a transparent methacrylate dungeon.
The exhibition poster plays around with the idea of this imaginary prison: a metaphor for the limits of censorship and prohibition in the age of transparency.
